Meet the local population of Dubai and try their food !

When visiting a country, there's nothing like meeting its local population to better understand its culture and its essence. In the United Arab Emirates, the local population represents less than 20% of the total population. Needless to say that it is quite difficult, especially during a sightseeing tour, to mix with the Emirati population Dubai citizens. That is the reason why I decided to propose this Dubai city tour to let the curious traveler meet local people and get to know their culture. This tour focuses on the neighborhood of Al Fahidi district, near the Bur Dubai side of Dubai creek. One of the oldest Dubai district, where you can feel the true essence of Dubai, back at the time of its first inhabitants.

This original Dubai city tour includes a tour of the historical Al Fahidi district by an Emirati guide, followed by a questions and answers session at the Sheikh Mohammed Center for Cultural Understanding, also with Emirati people. You will have the opportunity to learn much more about the local culture, and ask all them all your questions about what you see and hear around you about Dubai.

You will of course be welcome at the Sheikh Mohammed Center for Cultural Understanding in the finest tradition of Beduin hospitality, around fresh dates and arabic coffee. It is also possible to take during this tour a traditional emirati breakfast, lunch or brunch (depending on the day of the visit), still at the cultural center Sheikh Mohammed.

This tour lasts about 3 hours and can be done in the morning every day except Friday.
